The English premier league is regarded as the most competitive league in Europe because as many as six teams compete for domestic trophies and qualification for UEFA tournaments every season, the so called Big 6: Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham.
They were not always six big teams in England, Manchester City and Tottenham are the latest and fairly recent additions to that list and now it seems the list is about to increase further!
Every few seasons fringe teams get a bit of good luck and perform specularly such as Everton, Leicester, West Ham, Wolves etc. These teams in few seasons competed and qualified for UEFA tournaments to the detriment of some Big 6 clubs, Leicester is the only non Big 6 club to have won a trophy in England in the past ten to fifteen years and they won the league title, the FA cup and the English Super Cup, unfortunately their luck ran out and they’ve now been relegated. The other lucky teams also seems to have run out of luck.
But since last season three teams seem to have struck that luck, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Brighton. They seek to become part of the English elite club and compete consistently for domestic and European trophies.
Can they become elite clubs in England or will their lucks soon run out?
i can only say Chelsea might be replaced by New Castle, but there won’t be any expansion
